At first glance, the task seemed deceptively simple—I was tasked with selecting words that represented different points along a continuum of attitudes or perceptions. Eager to demonstrate my understanding of the concept, I hastily selected words that I believed encompassed the full spectrum of the targeted construct. Which resulted to mistakes that I overlooked. Furthermore, the process of creating a semantic scale provided an opportunity for introspection and self-reflection. As I grappled with the complexities of word selection and arrangement, I gained a deeper appreciation for the subjective nature of human experiences and the challenges inherent in quantifying them.
