The Elementary Experience changes the way students submit assignments. Teachers create assignments the same way as they do in their other courses, but students are presented with these submit options:

For teachers to use the Elementary Experience, a system administrator must first enable it by selecting Tools and then School Management. From the Navigation menu, select Feature Options, check Enable Course Themes, and then select Save Changes.
Once this is complete, teachers enable the Elementary Experience on a course-by-course basis by selecting a course, opening the Course Options menu, and selecting Edit Privacy /Course Settings. On the Privacy/Course Settings tab, in the Course View Settings section, open the Course Theme menu, select Elementary and then select Save Changes.
Once teachers create course materials within a course, they can edit the featured image that students see by selecting Edit Image. The Featured Image option is not available in Resources. Only students see the Elementary Experience view, but teachers can preview how assignments and other resources appear to students by selecting a course, opening the Course Options menu, and selecting View Course As. Select any member of the course to view how the course appears to the student. When finished with this view, select Exit.
