Most of the project took place during the Covid 19 pandemic in 2020 so we were unable to meet to create a piece of art work. Instead we asked the community to create rag boas to reflect the changing seasons and colours of the environment. Many people said this helped them to focus at a time when they were unable to meet friends in the park.
Part of the project was the use of waste material. This enabled many people isolating because of Covid to contribute.
Alison Bailey Smith explains the idea & the process
Some of the boas have been hung on the trees in the park and others will form an exhibition in the Heritage Centre
