The Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Challenge is a competition that makes learning about entrepreneurship fun. It is aimed at high school learners in grades 8 to 11 in South Africa. The challenges are designed to engage participants to act and think like entrepreneurs and rewards those who finish among the top performers. The challenge runs for about 6 weeks. Each week learners log on to the AGEC website and complete a series of micro-challenges. These challenges take 15-60 minutes to complete depending on their complexity. PSHS is one of about 80 schools which participate in the challenge.
Candice Langlois and Kathleen Goodhead, grade 12 learners, took part in the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Challenge last year. The girls did very well and were placed in the top 200 and 500 respectively.
