Computers (CAT)

Learners who wish to take this subject must be fully computer literate and should have access to a computer at home. If a learner does not have access to a computer at home, he/she must stay behind after school hours to complete any CAT PAT’S (practical assessment tasks) and all homework tasks set.

Practical Work:

1. Application packages: Ms Word; Ms Excel; Ms Access; Ms Power Point.

2. Practical Assessment Task which counts for 25% of the final year mark.

Theoretical Work:

1. Computer hardware, networking, social and environmental implications of ITC, legal issues, etc.

2. Theory regarding applications packages.
