New week everybody! that means… yes! we have a new entry in my personal diary, are you excited about what I learnt today? I’m sure you are!
Well, I’m sorry to say I have not really learned about a new app or tool for future teachers, but I would like to tell you that I have discovered something much more important, I have discovered how I much I know about digital competences needed to be an innovative and productive teacher and keep my students motivated. Sadly, I must say that I know little about technology, I poorly reached an A2 level in the Common Digital Competence Framework, however, I know that is not a fail, it just means I must practice harder and keep learning about technology in order to be able to connect with my students and their interests.
It was surprising to discover that fact because, as well as you, I spend a lot of time with my phone, computer or tablet using the Internet, social media, and other programmes. If I think about it deeply, it is almost worrying how much time I lose doing… nothing. So, I have decided to discover how much time I am wasting and, even more interesting, how I can eradicate this habit.
Finally, I bring you two new apps for your phones, one of them was told by my Teacher in my last session: Forest. This app is used to keep you concentrated while studying, reading or working. When you enter this app, you set the time you want to be without using the phone and a new tree starts growing, if you enter another app, the tree dies, and you will have a horrendous forest. The other app is called: App Usage, and it measures how much time you spend in every app and how long you use your phone during the day.
That’s all for today! See you next week
