The next task I was asked to deal with was helping with the user interface. More specifically I had to:
Find better solution for some icons in the menu bar
Create assets folder with the new icons in various sizes
How did I approach this problem?
First, I did a literature study on 'How to use Adobe Illustrator?' This helped me to understand better and navigate the program. After that, I had to find out how to use its tools. So the study transferred into YouTube tutorials on 'working with vectors,' 'creating and exporting visual assets.' I did not want to go too deep since I knew that was not the main focus of my project. However, I was thrilled to help and found it pleasing to learn such a critical media creation tool.
Then I thank the new knowledge I could easily tackle my first task, 'better solution for some icons in the menu bar. I had already been told which icons needed a facelift, so I quickly brainstormed a few particular assets and played them out on a new illustration. In order to validate, I sent them back to the task issuer, who agreed on only a few of them to be added to the asset folder.
After that, it was time for the third step - 'Create assets folder with the new icons in various sizes. The already acquired knowledge has helped me a lot, and I delivered an assets folder currently used in development to build the menu bar, which was the needed validation.
