MAP is an assessment tool used across many school districts that aims to measure proficiency for learners on grade level standards. The assessment is administered digitally up to three times in a school year. This adaptive assessment provides a significant amount of insight and data for educators.
In the Spring of 2022, I found myself working with a team of educators struggling to make use of MAP data. After many discussions, I recognized that the root of the issue was simply that this team was unaware of how to navigate the website, meaning many were not accessing the data provided appropriately.
The above document highlights material I developed to lead this team in a professional development session related to locating and utilizing various tools for interpreting MAP data. This resource was shared with all team members and will be reviewed in the future when working with this data, sharing with educators new to teaching, to better support usage of this valuable tool.
This technology plan outlines my abilities to analyze resources and develop plans of action to ensure that teams are working together to understand the purpose of technology and working to grow these understandings.Â
This artifacts displays how a plan can be designed to promote successful technology integration in a school district I've worked in that is still building towards cohesion when related to technology. Developing this helped me recognize that having access to technology is only part of the challenge that comes along with integration systems, it is training and collaboration that ensures technology is being used in ways that it is intended.
Work done related to this will support my own skill development in the future when related to root cause analysis and problem solving.
