Educators that use technology can sometimes integrate because it keeps learning interesting, visually appealing, fun, etc. However, many educators are unaware of the cost this has on student learning, over overwhelming their minds, making learning more of a challenge.
I learned that a lot of my personal practice leading up to this was overloading my students and this work taught me the value in slowing down and ensuring materials shared or creative on feature information and visuals that benefit learning. A Â many educators face is being required to utilize curriculum that doesn't request or require educators to respond to student achievement and set goals for improvement. Furthermore, educators are often untrained in the area of interpreting student data effectively.
Creating this artifact allowed me to complete research in understanding this issue and recognizing its impact on teaching and learning. This is a great tool that can be used or shared with educators to help them understand the value of collecting data and its purpose.
