Staff Holiday Luncheon 

On Tuesday, December 16, PTSA will host the annual Ponderosa Staff Holiday Luncheon, to treat our teachers and staff to a Winter feast. We are seeking volunteers to help, as well as donations of food and beverages. If you would like to contribute a dish for our staff to enjoy, or help us on that day, please sign up here.

Benefit Night at Urban Plates 

PTSA’s next Benefit Night is on Wednesday, December 17. Dine at or order from Urban Plates on that day, and 20% of your purchase will be donated to Ponderosa PTSA. Urban Plates is located at 300 W. McKinley Ave, Suite 100, Sunnyvale, CA 94086. 

Open Position: Yearbook Coordinator

PTSA is seeking a Yearbook Coordinator to oversee the Yearbook Committee and create Ponderosa's 2025-26 yearbook. The Coordinator will compile photos of activities and events for the yearbook to be sold in May. Ponderosa works with a printing company, and the coordinator will communicate directly with the printer for creating the final product. Duties include:

1. Creating and moderating collection of photos from school events and activities.

2. Facilitating sales and purchasing of yearbook.

3. Coordinating efforts of yearbook committee and overseeing the yearbook cover and poetry contest.

4. Yearbook committee responsibilities include 5th grade parent liaison (baby photos & grad ads), yearbook cover contest, collection and selection of photos representing all students, activities, and events, and communicating progress or needs of the yearbook to PTSA.

PTSA Nominating Committee

The PTSA Nominating Committee will be preparing the slate of candidates for the 2026-27 Executive Board. A minimum of 5 volunteers are needed for this Committee. The time commitment is about 2 virtual meetings and email communication beginning in late January or early February 2026. If you would like to serve on the Committee, please email ptsaponderosa@gmail.com.

Holiday Food Drive: Thank You

We received an outpouring of support for our Holiday Food Drive! On Friday, November 21, we delivered 628 lbs. of food, estimated at over $1,190.00, to Sunnyvale Community Services. Thank you to all the generous families who donated essential food items for our friends and neighbors here in our community.

If you would like to join this online parent community, please note that there are required membership questions, such as the name of your child’s teacher and classroom number, in order to keep the group secure and respect the privacy of our Ponderosa families.
