Boxwood "Holiday" Tree

Steps & Procedures:

• First soak your foam in warm water. Make sure you don't push it down just let it soak on it's own. 

• Then you want to put your floral foam in your metal tin after it is done soaking.

• Now you want to cut the floral foam so it's sort of shaped like a tree. Like rounded on top.

• Then you want to tape your floral foam with your waterproof tape. One across vertically and one across that one horizontally. 

• Start with your central leader. Pick a nice piece of tall greenery to be your point at the top because every tree has a leader. 

• Then you want to go to the bottom. These trees are more conical so the bottom is going to be longest outwards.

• Place whatever greenery you want around the bottom making sure they are at least 2 inches long outwards.

• Now you want to start moving upwards. Start shaping it like a conical tree. You can do this by slight angles starting at the bottom at downwards to slight moving up the angle each layer you go up in your tree. The middle will end up being more straight out and the top is angled upwards.

• Finally when you are done shaping your tree with assorted greenery you want to fill in any holes that might be left over. Any spots you can see floral foam or spots that possibly look empty. 

• Make sure it doesn't look like a shrub and that it looks like a tree. It needs to have a conical shape not a rounded one. 

• When you finish that you're now going to decorate with holiday decorations. You can use wire and picks to attach ornaments and the cute presents that are on mine. (You can skip this step if you just want a regular boxwood tree.)

• Then you're all finished with your boxwood tree!
