Materials:
Purple Carnations
White Stock
Leatherleaf
Limonium
Design plate
Floral Foam
Procedures & Steps:
First you want to take all the leaves off of your stock and pluck off any dead brown flowers.
Then you want to fluff up your carnations by rolling your fingers on the calyx and using your fingers gently to spread the petals.
Put your floral foam into your design plate and tape it like a plus sign.
Now you want to place stock as a center at the top for your asymmetrical arrangement, you want the stem to be cut about 4 inches long.
Next you want to place another stock a few inches in front of your first one. The stem of this one should be cut to about three inches; do place it at a very tiny angle.
Then you want to place your third stock with 2 inches left of stem to the right of the other two at a light forward angle; a few inches away from the first two.
Now your final three are going to be placed at the bottom of your arrangement following the lines your other flowers made to make your right angle triangle.
The first two in the front will be pretty straight and short at an upright angle.
Your final one will be pretty long and at a slight downward angle.
Next you want to take big pieces to medium pieces of leather leaf and use them to support your white stock. You're going to place them behind each of the flowers.
For your centerpiece of the arrangement (the tallest flower) you're going to put one big piece of leatherleaf behind it then another big piece lower to support it.
Now take your carnations and fill them into your arrangement following the pattern of the right triangle in line with all of the stock. Making sure they have different heights and angles while still having open space.
Then you want to fill in any of your open seeing foam with leatherleaf and limonium.
Now you have your asymmetrical arrangement!
