Known primarily for its vast desert, the Playa Plains have seen very little colonization due to intense heat making the region uninhabitable for all but the most hardy of Pokemon. Travel is mostly done by river, and most towns are built along the river. Despite the heat, the region does flourish thanks to its predictable seasonal floods making farming along the river highly viable. Farther south, the floods are so effective that the entire region has become a dense, impassible rainforest. Between the desert and the rainforest is a mostly habitable region which is none-the-less rather underpopulated.
