A Journey of Microscopy Researcher
I am Po-Yi Lee (李柏逸), a Research Fellow interested in optical imaging and image analysis, fostering innovation in biomedicine.
In 2014, I earned my B.Sc. degree from National Tsing Hua University, followed by an M.Sc. from National Taiwan University in 2016, focusing on photoacoustic imaging.
From 2017 to 2018, I worked as a research assistant at Academia Sinica, specializing in the visualization, processing, and analysis of lattice light-sheet microscopy images.
I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Pittsburgh in 2023, where I developed new optical imaging techniques, including polarized light microscopy, in the Ocular Biomechanics Lab. My doctoral research primarily focused on visualizing and quantifying collagen fiber architecture and biomechanics to enhance the understanding of ocular diseases.
In February 2024, I joined the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Harvard Medical School. Here, I am part of Dr. Brett Bouma's team, working on pioneering polarization-sensitive optical coherent tomography to push the boundaries of medical imaging technologies.
