It is important to note that once you graduate, you are no longer able to alter the program GPA. Many bridging programs will ask for the program GPA and not all programs will accept upgraded courses.
Seneca College has a policy of automatically graduating students once they have met the final requirements of their program. Students who do not wish to be considered for graduation can opt-out on the Student Centre, under the "My Academics" tab, then Graduation Status.
The posted deadline to opt-out is available on the following site. www.senecacollege.ca/registrar/convocation/
Please note that students who chose this option will not be considered a graduate of the Practical Nursing Program and therefore will NOT be eligible to write the registration exam. The longer you are away from writing the REx-PN the harder it may be to have your learning fresh in your brain!
Students who wish to repeat select courses to improve their GPA should contact their Academic Advisor. Repeating courses that already have a passing grade are typically repeated at the end of the program or with special permission during regularly scheduled semester breaks. There are only a select few professional courses you will be allowed to take in the 3rd and 4th semesters to boost your GPA.
Students may not delay their usual program progression to repeat a course that has already been successfully completed.
