Hi, My Name's Paul,

I make art from many different things, like candles and skulls. I chose books because I wanted to branch out, get out of my comfy zone and learn a new skill. I want to learn new things because, if I learn how to make candles, then I know how to do that, and if I learn how to do dirty pour paintings, then I can do that.

I really enjoy challenging myself learning, to do new things in my creative development. Being able to mix textures and colors and shapes and patterns and bounce ideas off the other artists and tutors at Pablos is giving me the skills to be able to create my individual style of art. Being part of the Pablos community has given me the confidence to try new things, I have even been elected by the artists at Pablos to be an Artist Representative for the ARG (Artist Representative Group) with my fellow artist Alexandria.

I am passionate about creating textured art pieces as I want the viewer to actually touch what I have created and make a physical connection with the joy of creating artworks.

People can touch art and see what it feels like, not just standing back and wondering what it feels like. It's part of the art. Spiders live on trees, and the tree is like your life.

I didn't have anything around to make candles with, but then I saw I had some skulls around, so I made candles out of them.
