COURSES, TALKS & RETREATS

WORSHIP & MUSIC

GREENHOUSE PROGRAMME
(Closing Date: 23 July)

The Worship and Music Ministry is conducting the Greenhouse Programme in July and August. These beginner level workshops are targeted towards members who used to play an instrument but have since stopped playing. Perhaps you now find yourself in a new season in your life and you are thinking of brushing up on your playing skills again.

These workshops will help you grow these skills again so you can serve God in your cell group, special events  or on mission trips. This is especially relevant as we prepare for 2025 (Year of Expansion), where the whole church is encouraged to reach out in and impact our community and the world in a  concerted effort.

The courses and workshops offered this year are taught by Christian teachers who are professional trainers in their field of expertise in Singapore.

Each course will last 4 weeks, and the detailed fees for the courses are listed in the tables.

Please Note that for music courses, participants would need some music background (either playing experience or Grade 5 piano/theory).

ADULT/YOUTH BAPTISM & MEMBERSHIP CLASS (BMC)  / INFANT & CHILD BAPTISM CLASS (Registration closes 21 Aug 23)

Youth/Adult Baptism and Membership Class 2023.2

We invite all those who are deciding to make a public profession of their faith through water baptism and/or to express your desire to a deeper discipleship by committing yourself to the local community in Paya Lebar Methodist Church. You should have been worshipping with us for at least the last 6 months if you are considering membership in PLMC.

During this class, we explore the significance of baptism and its connection to the Christian faith. We will delve into the biblical teachings on baptism and discuss its meaning for you. Additionally, we will cover the importance of church membership and what it means to be part of our faith community.

You will also have an opportunity to experience the life of a cell group during the small group discussions led by our leaders. The leaders will guide the discussions, answer questions, and provide support throughout the class. It will be a time of learning, reflection, and fellowship as we journey together in our commitment to Christ.

It is important that you attend every component of the class which will prepare you for the commitment you are taking in baptism and becoming a member in PLMC.

If you or someone you know is interested in being baptized or becoming a member of our church, we encourage you to attend this class. It is open to both youth (with parental consent) and adults.

Restoring Her Dignity

Do you know the reason many are unable to walk in wholeness and the purpose of God? It’s because we are broken on the inside.

Come and learn the causes of our brokenness like rejection, fear, guilt, anger, rebellion, bitterness , negative soul ties, shame and find freedom in the power of the Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus said in Luke 4:18

“He sent me to heal the broken-hearted and to set the captives free.”
