Ministry Executive, Counselling

Reporting to the Director of Counselling, you will be involved in both counselling and management of clients.  As a team leader, you will assist in developing the counselling ministry, and work together with a team of volunteers in delivering effective counselling services to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional counselling services to individuals, couples, families and groups, and preferably having some knowledge to counsel child and youth clients, to improve their well-being

• Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling programmes on clients’ progress in resolving identified problems

• Collaborate and network with Supervisor and other staff members as part of clients’ treatment plans, and recommend and implement areas for improvements

• Prepare and maintain proper documentation of case records

• Develop and conduct training and workshops to enhance the well-being of the community

• Any other duties as assigned by the Pastor-in-Charge

Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Counselling or equivalent 

• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in pastoral care and counselling work

• Passionate and dedicated; a team player

• Able to work independently and collaboratively with other ministries

• Proactive self-starter with analytical and creative mind, good organizational, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills

1. Paya Lebar Methodist Girl's School (Sec)

• Administration Manager

Assist school leaders with finance, human resource management, stakeholder management and general administration of the school. Learn more about the role and how to apply.

Roles and responsibilities:

You will play a key role in assisting the school leaders in finance, human resource management, stakeholder management and general administration of the school. You will supervise a small team of Executive and Administrative Staff (EAS) to achieve excellence in school administration and operations.

Your job will include:

• Support the school leaders in aligning the objectives and work plan to the overall objectives of the school to meet the school’s strategic needs.

• Support the school leaders in developing and maintaining positive relationships with the schools’ stakeholders such as parents, vendors, and the public, etc.

• Oversee and manage the school’s budgeting process and financial operations, for example, budget exercises, asset and inventory tracking, handling audit queries, etc.

• Manage the administration of overall procurement processes in schools to ensure compliance with MOE guidelines.

• Support the school in human resource management including manpower resourcing and benefits administration.

• Support the holistic development of students including the management of pupil placement and programmes such as financial assistance schemes and admissions exercises.

• Assist to drive implementation and use of IT infrastructure to increase productivity including integrating Information and Communications Technology (ICT) into administrative processes, and leveraging ICT to improve efficiency in work processes and in supporting teaching and learning.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years experience in finance, procurement, human resources or general administration.

• Strong interpersonal, organisation and communication skills, as well as the ability to lead and work well in teams.

• A dynamic and motivated individual with a keen interest in continuous improvement and work excellence.

Help ensure the smooth operation of the school by assisting the school leaders and Administration Manager in finance, procurement, student services, stakeholder management and general administration. Learn more about the roles and how to apply.

Roles and responsibilities:

You will be part of the School Administration Team (SAT) assisting the school leaders and Administration Manager in the areas of finance, procurement, student services, stakeholder management and general administration.

Your job responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the school leaders in maintaining positive relationships with the schools’ stakeholders, such as students, parents, teachers, vendors and the broader community

• Assisting in the school’s financial operations, including collection of finances, processing of payments and claims, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations

• Assisting in procurement matters and processes as well as the management of contracts, as required by the school

• Assisting in the coordination and administration of personnel matters such as engagement of relief staff and providing advice to staff on HR aspects

• Supporting the implementation of security and safety procedures and measures in the school

• Supporting the review and streamlining of processes for efficient and effective running of the General Office, for example, pupil placement and applications

• Providing support in administering various MOE IT systems in the school

Requirements:

You should have:

• Strong interpersonal, organisation and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well in teams

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and IT systems

• Preferably with at least 2 years of prior experience in finance, procurement or customer service

2. HOPE Student Care Centre (an Outreach arm of PLMC)

• PROGRAMME STAFF, HOPE STUDENT CARE CENTRE (PART TIME)

BASIC ROLE

The Programme staff supports the Superintendent in the development of programs for students. She/He will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Student Care Centre, which includes but not limited to the following:

1. Implement and executes programs for the students 

2. Supervise and guide the children (Primary 1 to 6) in their study to ensure completion of daily homework

3. Guide students in creating good habits in their daily lives

4. Provide a secure, caring, and loving environment for the students in the Centre.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and provide guidance to the students in their studies. 

• Provides students with opportunities to grow. 

• Supervise the students in terms of their behaviour and learning habits. Always use positive disciple techniques.

• Plans, prepare, and execute programs with the Staff to enhance the total development of the students.

• Assist with administrative duties (Enrolment, collection of forms) and upkeep of centre premises. 

• Ensure safety and timely transfer of students from school to student centre. 

• Preparation of progress reports for each student. 

• Participates and support in the Centre’s programmes. (In-house, Outdoor and Outreach)  

• Performs all other related duties described herein or such other duties as shall be assigned by the Superintendent from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum “O” Level or higher with tutoring experience with Primary school students is advantageous  

• Able to teach Primary School Subjects 

• Passionate about working with children 

• Possess good communication and classroom management skills 

• Creative and loving energy with a positive disposition
