WMCE GREENHOUSE PROGRAMME
(Closing date: 28 Jun 2023)

The Worship and Music Ministry is conducting the Greenhouse Programme in July and August. These beginner level workshops are targeted towards members who used to play an instrument but have since stopped playing. Perhaps you now find yourself in a new season in your life and you are thinking of brushing up on your playing skills again.

These workshops will help you grow these skills again so you can serve God in your cell group, special events  or on mission trips. This is especially relevant as we prepare for 2025 (Year of Expansion), where the whole church is encouraged to reach out in and impact our community and the world in a  concerted effort.

The courses and workshops offered this year are taught by Christian teachers who are professional trainers in their field of expertise in Singapore.

Please Note that for music courses, participants would need some music background (either playing experience or Grade 5 piano/theory).

THE CHRISTIAN CALENDAR - PENTECOST

Sun 28 May 2023 is Pentecost Sunday and begins the season of Pentecost.

Pentecost celebrates the giving of the Holy Spirit as the Paraclete / Advocate and the birth of the Church. Coming 50 days after Easter, the season’s liturgical colour is red, symbolizing the Holy Spirit’s fire and the blood of the martyrs. Pentecost focuses on the gift and the work of the Holy Spirit, and the themes include God’s community (the Church), the gifts and fruits of the Spirit, and spreading the Gospel.
