A Day In Solitude: Being Yourself With God

Come and experience a day where you can be free to be yourself in God’s presence. Guidance will be given to enter into this day of solitude and to help you be with God right where you are so that He can minister to you as you are. Anyone who desires an authentic relationship with God and a safe place to be yourself will benefit from this retreat.

We will celebrate 90 years of God’s faithfulness to PLMC on 10 July 2022 at two combined services where the sermon, brought to us by TRAC President Rev Stanley Chua, will be interpreted in Mandarin. Please note the services will be at 8.30am and 11am and will be onsite and online. Silver Boxes will also be at 8.30am and 11am.

Here are some of the Speaker Topics:

• Dr Tam Wai Jia will be sharing about how we are all called to play a part in one another’s destinies. Come and listen to her as she shares tear-jerking, heartwarming stories that display the extraordinary goodness of God.

• Ps Charleston Lim will be sharing about his experience as a pastor from the Heart of God Church. Part of his responsibilities includes the overall pastoral care of the youth, adult and family zones. He will be talking about building the generations.

• Mr Isaac Ong will be talking about discipleship from the perspective of a younger person, and how the church can connect with the younger generation.

• Ps Ian Toh and Mr Jason Wong will be addressing the importance of family, and the role family plays in church and society. They will address issues related to the Christian identity.

• Dr Daniel Fung will be sharing some important information and statistics on the mental health and wellness situation in Singapore. He will discuss how the church can address mental health issues, and the role of families in building mental resilience.

For Conference participants, please note that as car park lots are very limited, you are advised to take public transport on those days. Also, please collect your Conference tee-shirts after the services today or on the first day of the Conference at the Fellowship Hall and bring your own bags for your Conference goodies. • In the spirit of the conference’s theme and the call for fellowship & communion, let's take some time out to bond with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

• The conference team has prepared a list of decentralised bonding activities for everyone - regardless of whether you are attending the conference or not.

• These trails have been lovingly curated by some cell groups and ministry teams.

• From 15 May to 19 June, a photo challenge for each trail will be launched where you can submit your creative photos of your group completing these activities.

• Check them out & complete as many as you’d like with the group you've signed up with or just with a group of friends who aren’t attending the conference.

Pentecost celebrates the giving of the Holy Spirit as the Paraclete / Advocate and the birth of the Church. Coming 50 days after Easter, the season’s liturgical colour is red, symbolizing the Holy Spirit’s fire and the blood of the martyrs. Pentecost focuses on the gift and the work of the Holy Spirit, and the themes include God’s community (the Church), the gifts and fruits of the Spirit, and spreading the Gospel.
