PRAYER FOCUS
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Silver Boxes
1. Praise God that we can return onsite from 11 July 2021. We will be celebrating our Church's 89th anniversary in the 3 zones.
2. We thank God for our leaders' commitment and dedication in running this race with us.
2. We thank God for the support of parents online. Pray for parents to sign up in the Eventbrite registration for their children to join us onsite.
3. Pray for the planning and all the safe management measures to be adhered to. But most importantly, for the Lord to be our pillar of fire and cloud in all we do.
Sonshine Kids
1. We thank God for our leaders who faithfully serve weekly. We also thank God for parents who have given their support to bring their children to join us onsite from 3 July.
2. Pray for the Lord's presence and protection to cover each of us during this time, keeping us united in His love, and glorifying His name in all we do.
3. Pray for the upcoming special programme as we celebrate Sonshine Kids' 17th Anniversary in collaboration with our Church's 89th Anniversary on 10 July.
DISCIPLESHIP & NURTURE
We pray for people to join the 40 DOB CGs, that they may experience true discipleship, fun learning and deep community through them. Ask God to shower His grace upon the leaders and the participants to have a wonderful time.
We give thanks to God for those who have been followed up. Let us continue to pray for their discipleship journey to be deepened.
Disciple Courses – we pray for God’s anointing, favour, and love to fill both the participants and facilitators of the D1 & D3 Courses, that He will pour out His wisdom in this learning environment.
We commit the whole Church to mature in her discipleship unto the Lord through worship, word, community, and outreach, with God working wonders in each of her members.
YOUNG ADULTS
Young Adults
Pray for our young adults who are resuming their university studies this month.
Pray for our young adults who are studying/working abroad and for those who are preparing to travel for studies.
Pray for our newly wedded young adult couples. Pray for God’s guidance as they transit from couple-hood to marriage.
Pray for our young adult cell groups as they continue to meet online to grow in their fellowship, and spur one another on in their faith.
PRAY FOR 40 DAYS OF BLESSINGS
Community Within
1. Church Corporate Prayer. As the 40DOB movement is drawing near, pray that we will come together as one big family to seek first the kingdom of God. Pray that members will attend the monthly online corporate prayer meetings on 14 Jul, 11 Aug and 8 Sep for the purpose of pursuing God’s guidance and direction in one accord. The Prayer Meeting will be on Zoom from 8pm to 9pm https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86512213194?pwd=LzVvcERRTmdhSHVCSEdNZWttUmxXZz09
Meeting ID: 865 1221 3194
Passcode: 296772
2. Reaching the Online Community. A post-COVID future sees a tremendous increase in online communication for both the young and the not-so-young. The digital platforms transcend geographical borders and thus present countless opportunities to minister to people near and far. Pray for wisdom and willing hearts to help develop a digital strategy to reach pre-believers and unchurched believers digitally.
3. Outreach Ministry. Pray for a change of perspective in viewing outreach as a way of making disciples and not simply meeting needs as an end. Continue to pray that the Holy Spirit would guide and lead the cells in their planning for Project Safe Place, so that those who are blessed would open their hearts to the saving knowledge of Christ or desire a deeper relationship with the Lord.
Community at Large
Foreign Domestic Workers (FDWs). Pray for the well-being of FDWs, as many of them worry about their young children and/or aged parents as the former are unable to return home for fear of not being able to come back to Singapore to work. Pray for mutual understanding between FDWs and their employers during this stressful time, as many are working from home. Pray for opportunities to bless FDWs by letting them experience home away from home.
CARE & HEAL
PASTORAL CARE
With the nation in heightened alert in our fight against the virus, we understand that there will be anxiety, frustration, sadness, anger, helplessness and a whole slew of other emotions.
As your pastors, we want you to know that we are here for you.
You can email us at pastors@plmc.org or call us at 6100 7562
You can send your prayer requests to prayernet@plmc.org.
PLMC INNER HEALING MINISTRY
The PLMC Inner Healing Ministry helps individuals get to the root of things that are hindering their personal connection with God. This Ministry continues online every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm. Email requests to plihm@plmc.org
CARE HUB (English & Chinese)
Care Hub is formed to support and journey alongside our members / worshippers whose lives and livelihoods have been affected by this crisis. The end goal of Care Hub is pastoral care, for someone to journey with them and remind them they are beloved of God and to find strength in God to face the challenges.
As each individual has different needs, Care Hub serves as a one-stop helpline where an individual can obtain support in the church in various areas. If you have been affected by this crisis, Care Hub is here to support you.
English version : CAREHUB.PLMC.ORG
Chinese version : MSCAREHUB.PLMC.ORG
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do I need to be a worshipper at PLMC to obtain help for Care Hub?
As long as you have been worshipping with us, either on-site or online, you are welcome to obtain help from Care Hub. We seek to journey with you as a family of faith during, and beyond, the COVID-19 period.
2. Is it compulsory for a Care Befriender to journey with me?
Yes, it is. We are not designed to journey alone. The church is the Body of Christ and each of us is a part of the body. Having a Care Befriender in this journey is to experience the community and interdependence of our Triune God. God is never alone; we need others too.
3. How long will the Care Befriender journey with me?
Each person has a different journey. Each journey is unique. In general, the Care Befriender will journey with you 3 – 6 months. Let these be a meaningful journey of deepening in God through the company of another.
4. Can I request for pastor to be my spiritual mentor/counsellor?
Yes, you can make the request, but we are all called to be a priesthood of believers hence most likely a mature believer will be assigned to journey with you. Trust that it is God’s hand that has led you thus far, and He will ensure that you are mentored or counselled by the right person with the necessary spiritual gifts for you.
5. I am not affected by COVID-19 but I need someone to talk to. Do I send my request through Care Hub?
No, Care Hub specifically caters to those who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and its ramifications. Please contact the relevant ministry that caters to your need directly. Contact details can be found at the end of this site, under ‘Our Ministries’.

PLMC MATTERS
SAFE MANAGEMENT MEASURES UPDATE - 26 Jun 2021
In the midst of the pandemic darkness, our Lord exhorts us to be the light of the world, so let us shine brighter for Him even as we know He is in control and over the pandemic.
1. Resumption of Onsite English Services
We thank and praise God that the English and Mandarin onsite services will resume on Sun 4 Jul 2021. All onsite worshippers will have to be masked at all times and singing by the congregation is prohibited.
The English Service at 9am will exceed 50 worshippers (we are trying to maximise the capacity of the Sanctuary), while the English and Mandarin Services at 11.15am will be capped at 50 worshippers each.
In addition to registering to attend service, ALL worshippers at the 9am English Service will have to:
show proof of completed vaccination by the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine or the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine only (ie at least 14 days after their second dose as shown on the Covid-19 Vaccination Card or on the TraceTogether app),
or present valid Antigen Rapid Test Pre-Event Testing certificate (ie at least valid till 11am on Sunday, the link for the list of PET centres is https://www.moh.gov.sg/licensing-and-regulation/regulations-guidelines-and-circulars/details/list-of-covid-19-swab-providers);
come to church at least 15 minutes before service starts to facilitate checking.
This requirement is waived for the worshippers attending the English and Mandarin Services at 11.15am.
As the Sanctuary lift is closed for replacement, those who require lift access will attend the live streamed English Service at Jerusalem Room at 9am and should call the church office at 6100 7562 to make a phone booking. These worshippers will also need to show proof of vaccination or valid PET certificate.
