Life in PLMC told through the eyes of worshippers and staff. In this issue, a participant in the recent Art & Christian Worship workshop shares her insights, and a Silver Boxes leader, who is also a mother of a young child, shares her testimony of being Blessed to be a Blessing in a Season of Covid-19.

The Boys' Brigade Share-a-Gift (BBSG) is the biggest charity project in Singapore during the festive season of Christmas. BBSG aims to bring cheer to 40,551 beneficiaries with YOUR help!

The theme, “Have a Heart, Share a Gift”, clearly summaries the project’s purposes. Since the launch of BBSG in 1988, the objectives of the project are:

1. Bring cheer to the less fortunate in Singapore during the festive season;

2. Inculcate the spirit of community service among members of The Boys’ Brigade; and

3. Promote the spirit of caring and sharing among Singaporeans.

Boonchiaw

1) Pray for God’s provision to construct a new church building in Nong Tamlueng.

2) Pray for the evangelistic events at God is Good Church, Bueng Kan until the new year; especially pray for the team as they reach out to the people in Sakonnakon.

3) Pray for wisdom as the team discerns God’s leading for the 4^th anniversary of God is Good Church, Bueng Kan during this pandemic.

1) Pray strength and perseverance to intercede for various concerns.

2) Pray God’s covering for family and discernment from attacks from the adversary.

KG & C

1) Pray for God’s comfort and peace as one of the students and his family grieve over the tragic death of his father who was killed at a construction site. Pray for patience and strength as they go through the ongoing investigation and legal matters.

1) Pray for the hearts of the students to open and to want to know God more. And that SKI will be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit as she reaches out to them.

2) Pray for SKI good health and protection during the winter period.

1) Pray for salvation of H and H as they attend online Christmas services and hear about the gift of Jesus.
2) Pray for Eve to fight off doubts and continue to trust in the Faithful One.

PARA-CHURCH WORKERS
Fellowship of Evangelical Students – Siah May Lan
1) Pray for healing and grace for May Lan’s mother as she undergoes chemo-therapy for stomach cancer during the next 3 months. Also to remember May Lan’s family for strength to cope with caregiving for both their mum and father who has dementia.

2) Pray for May Lan to be granted wisdom in overseeing 2 new pioneering Christian Fellowship ministries in NAFA/La Salle & ITE from January 2021.

Please pray for the following Outreach Christmas Activities:

• Blessing our Immediate Neighbours

From 16 – 20 Dec, we will be blessing the residents from the 10 Blocks of HDB flats at Serangoon Central (Blk 201 -210), the three HDB flats at Lor Lew Lian, and the residents at the Private Estate around Church (Recreation Lane, Recreation Road and Joon Hiang Road). We estimate reaching slightly more than 2,000 families. Even though Christmas seems to be quieter this year, it is warmer and more personal as we bring the Christmas joy to their doorsteps.

• Anglican Family Centre (Women’s Shelter)

On 21 Dec, together with WSCS and our children volunteers, we are blessing the ladies and children at the shelter with a meal and gift. As respective families try to stand in the midst of their brokenness, may this Christmas call forth hope in them as they look to God.

• Friends of Jesus (Homeless)

On 22 Dec, we will be blessing our friends with a meal and a gift as most do not have or are unable to celebrate Christmas with their families.

• St Luke’s Eldercare Centres (Serangoon, Hougang Meadow and Hougang

Centres) and Econ Medicare Centre & Nursing Home

On 22 Dec, the team of volunteers will be sharing the Christmas story to present Christ’s coming and salvation to the elderly.

May all come to know how much God loves each of them this Christmas!

• Executive Assistant (Service Coordinator)

Job Responsibilities include:

• Providing administrative support to the pastors and directors for the effective running of the ministries.

• Coordinating the smooth running of service rehearsals and the worship services.

• Preparing and disseminating the Service Order to all relevant team members (Worship Teams, Audio & Media Teams, Communications Team and Pastoral Team)

• Ensuring timely, clear communications and coordination with the scheduled Worship/Audio/Media teams – for rehearsals and services call times.

• Coordinating logistics for ministry events, and provide administrative support including but not limited to consolidating attendance, printing materials, ordering event supplies, and room bookings etc.

Job Requirements:

• Pleasant disposition, resourceful, good organisational skills, able to work independently

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a team player

• Proficient with “MS Office” applications, and capable to learn & use new software

• Willing to work on Sundays

• Experience in service/events coordinating in a church setting would be an advantage

• Preferably bilingual (written/oral) in Chinese and English
