Plants

Archaeplastida

The Archaeaplastida are a major group of eukaryotes, comprising the land plants (=embryophytes), the green algae (chlorophtes + charophytes), red algae, and ancestral glaucophytes. The chloroplasts of these organisms are surrounded by two membranes; evidence for an origin from endosymbiotic cyanobacteria.
