We have just discovered that two variables corresponding to the pair (t, f) exist.
They are x and 1/λ. In 1/λ we can recognize a quantity proportional to the wave number k.
K = 2π / λ
So from now on we will consider the pair (x, k).
IMPORTANT: from the mathematical point of view there is no difference between working with (t, f) or with (x, k), the relations among the variables are exactly the same. So we expect an Uncertainty relation to hold also in the new domain (x, k):
Δx Δk = constant
Δx Δk = constant
