Two Tones
WARNING: if you are working in a classroom with many students, in order not to overlap too many tones, perform this activity one group per time.
Clicking on the link on the left (Pure Tones Generators) you will have the opportunity to generate up to 6 pure tones choosing different frequencies and Intensities (volumes). In each generator box you can select the sine wave icon (pure tone), choose the frequency (write the value in Hz) and determine (with the slider) the Volume you want the tone to be played with. In the range between 300-800 Hz choose two frequencies and play them. Test your Spectrum Analyser looking at the frequency plot of the sound given by the two tones. Change the parameters that define the pure tones you are generating and see in real time what happens on the frequency plot.
To use the Form in your class and collect privately your results, make a copy of the Google Form on your computer, then submit it, as an owner, to your students.
