Coaches are always needed.  When you register your child for a team, please indicate if you're willing to help.  If you're new to coaching, or want a little support, just let us know!  We're happy to help you.

Without volunteers our program would not be here. We appreciate all that you do! We still need help... even if it is only a day or two or an hour or more. We will take whatever you can provide.

High school students looking to earn community service hours? Parents who want their kids to excel at sports and academics?

I know you may think you can't help because you don't know how to do it. It is not hard and we provide resources and help to teach you. Even young kids do it all the time.... its a good way to be close to your children and give some words of encouragement to the team as they go back out on the court:)

There are many of us that have been helping this program out for many years. The program only survives for as long as parents are willing and able to help out.

With hard work these kids are capable of more than you might think!

HERE'S SOME INSPIRATION FOR YOU

Skills, skills, and more skills! Games are fun to begin with, but games are way more fun

WHEN YOU'RE GOOD!

Example 1.5 hr Practice

Start by talking about what you're going to do in practice today and what the goals are.  (Ex. Today we want to cover the 3 fundamental parts of offense... shooting, passing, dribbling. We're going to do some drills and some quick games and when I see that you're all working hard and listening well we can play a four on four full court game.")

But first let's get warmed up : 10 minutes

Alright let's do passing drill XXX :  5 minutes (choose your favorite from the drill pdfs, keep drills short to hold attention and focus)

Let's build on that and change to passing drill XXX : 5 minutes.

Now let's use what we just learned and play passing game XXX : 10 minutes (working in small games with competition and winners really helps keep focus)

WATER BREAK : 2 minutes

Time to work on dribbling let's do dribbling drill XXX :  5 minutes

Let's build on that and change to dribbling drill XXX : 5 minutes.

Now let's use what we just learned and play dribbling game XXX : 10 minutes

Time to work on shooting let's do shooting drill XXX :  5 minutes

Let's build on that and change to shooting drill XXX : 5 minutes.

Now let's use what we just learned and play shooting game XXX : 10 minutes

WATER BREAK : 2 minutes

You all worked hard today, now let's use what we learned and play Four on Four Full Court!
