Getting to Tübingen from Stuttgart Airport
The fastest way to get to Tübingen is by taking the bus 828 or X82 from Parking deck P14 at the bus stop Flughafen/Messe (SAB) Echterdingen to Tübingen, Hauptbahnhof. The ticket (8.50€) can only be purchased directly from the driver. If you are in possession of a BahnCard you can get a discount. In case of continuing directly to one of the venues in Tübingen via a city bus you need to inform the bus driver about it when buying the ticket so that it is valid in the city buses.
Getting to Tübingen from Stuttgart Central Station
(Note that Stuttgart Central Station is currently a confusing place due to ongoing construction works. Don't panic!) The fastest way to get to Tübingen is by taking the direct train lines IRE 6, MEX 12, or MEX 18 in the direction of Tübingen or Aulendorf. Check the DB Navigator app or the big monitor at the station for the right tracks. The ticket (11€) can be purchased at all vending machines at the central station or via the DB Navigator app. If you are in possession of a BahnCard you can get a discount.
From Tübingen Main Station to Hotel ibis Styles (Friedrichstraße 20, 72072 Tübingen)
We recommend a 6-minute walk. Leave the main station and go along the Europaplatz, until it exits into Poststraße. At the end of Poststraße turn right into Friedrichstraße. You reach the hotel after around 100 meters.
From Hotel ibis Styles to the venue
Walk along Friedrichstraße and Karlstraße until the closest bus stop Neckarbrücke. Here you can either:
take bus line 3 in the direction of WHO Ulmenweg and exit at the bus station Max-Planck-Institute. From there, walk 100 metres along the direction of the bus along the Paul-Ehrlich-Straße (note that the street turns left). Then, turn right into the Maria-von-Linden-Straße and you will see the AI research building to your right.
(slightly longer ride + walk) take bus line 5 in the direction of WHO Ahornweg and exit at the bus station Horemer. From there, walk 150 metres along the direction of the bus and turn right into Waldhäuser Strasse. After walking 100 metres in the Waldhäuser Strasse, take the first street to the left to the Friedrich Miescher Straße and after the parking slot turn right into the Maria-von-Linden-Straße. In this street, the AI research building is the second big building to your left.
