Where are we going?
2023 Cub Scout Pilgrimage to The National Centre for Padre Pio
What to bring?
Bring a lunch or a snack and water to start your busy afternoon off right!
Bring a chaplet, or rosary, for Chaplet of Divine Mercy later in the day.
Bring your curiosity to learn about this modern day saint!
Each Scout is asked to bring a canned good or non perishable food item to donate to a food bank!
Maybe some money for the gift shop???
What to wear?
Your uniform and a warm coat
What will it cost?
We are collecting $5.00 per family upon arrival.
When are we going?
Saturday, December 16th, 2023
What is the schedule for the day?
12:25pm--Arrival at the National Centre for Padre Pio, 111 Barto Road, Barto PA, 19504. The
Center advises scout families to arrive as close to 12:30 as possible—they have a large
program in the morning and attendees will be departing starting at 12.
Upon arrival go directly to the Spirituality Center. You may begin to eat your lunch or snack
once settled there and continue during the film.
12:35-1:00—Film, followed by a short talk and Q&A on Padre Pio and the founding of the
center.
1:15-2:00—Break, followed by a guided tour of the Spirituality Center and Our Lady of Grace
Chapel
2:15-3:00—Break, then off to the museum for the Scavenger Hunt
3:00-3:20—Return to the chapel for the Chaplet of Divine Mercy
3:30—Depart or family time until the center closes at 4:30.
Note: About 3 miles away is the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 610 Pine St.,Bally, PA 19503, 610-845-2460, www.mbsbally.org . MBS church has confessions from 3:15-4 PM and Vigil Mass at 4:30 if you would like to remain in the area a bit longer to extend your pilgrimage at this historic parish which was formed over 275 years ago!

At the conclusion of Mass, Archbishop Perez will present all religious emblems earned this year – Light of Christ, Parvuli Dei, Ad Altare Dei and Pope Pius XII
Emblem recipients should register in the vestibule of the Cathedral at 10:15 a.m.

All scouts, family, neighbors, and friends are invited.
Eagle Scout Recognition Letters
Please include the following information when making the request: Scout’s Name, Troop Number, Council, Parish and Parish Town, Eagle Project Details, and the address certificate is to be mailed to for presentation.
