The first day is mostly an information session but depending on time and on the president, you may run, exercise, swim & perform other types of exercise.
Expect to train for 1 to 3 hours straight. There will be breaks but the events will be back to back. Expect to run, swim, lift and carry heavy objects, be under water during periods of time with stressors, work as a team, and repetitively be smoked with physical training. There is no room for a quitting mentality, but this program is meant to break you down so it can build you back up. If you cannot do something keep trying, but never give up. Come ready to exceed. Rule Three: Don’t be a *****.
Training Program + Phase 0 meetings
Your week should be spent training with your freshman group that you meet during the first meeting. You will push each other and keep each other accountable. You will all be following the same program and this will allow you to reach this accountability.
Your President will set team training days where they will organize team Phase 0 events. During those days the purpose is to be exposed to specialty training events that the older members can assist you with. There are techniques to everything and its during these meetings that the older members will help instill the team mindset.
The specialty training will be explained in the training section.
Think of it this way: the training programs you will all be on are meant to develop your endurance, strength and power while the Phase 0 days are meant to teach you skills & techniques that you will need to succeed at Phase 2. You use the programs so you have the endurance & strength to complete the phase 0 meetings and eventually Phase 2.
Whenever you enter the foxhole, you need to pay the man and perform your In & Outs. If you enter the foxhole you must perform these before relaxing, if you are going to be leaving within an hour you don’t have to do the exercise on your way out or way in. Essentially, you’re in & outs cover a 1hr window. After that one hour, you will have to perform the in & outs.
IN & OUTS
These are Push-ups and pull-ups in respect for training for Special Operations. The procedure is to properly greet into the foxhole if you are a GMC. Perform 50 push-ups, plus respect reps (+1 for Phase 0, + 1 Teamwork, +1 Fallen Comrades, +1 for every member of Phase 0 in the foxhole including yourself). Perform 5 pull-ups, plus respect reps.
