How to Run Reports in Workday (so that you can see the balance in your accounts and what you've spent)
Workday Financial Reports
Available Balance
If you’re looking to just check the balance in your account:
1. Go to Menu > BYU Finance Dashboard (scroll all the way to the bottom of the menu list). If it’s not there, click the “+Add” button and add it.
2. Click on BYU Finance Reports > select “BYU Budget Vs Actuals Overview by Driver Worktag” report
3. Input fields:
a. Organization = type your name. It should find your Activity account. If you have grants or are responsible for other accounts, they will also be listed. Choose the account you are interested in.
b. Period = select current month/year (unless you want to see the balance of a previous month)
c. Leave everything else as is and click ok.
4. Explanation of columns:
a. YTD/LTD Budget/Forward Balance = the amount in your account at the beginning of year
b. Actuals = what you’ve spent so far that month
c. YTD/LTD Actuals = what you’ve spent so far this year
d. Available Balance = how much is currently in your account
5. You can click on any of the blue numbers so see a list of transactions that make up that number.
Breakdown by spend category
If you want to see a breakdown of how much you’ve spent in each category (e.g. student wages, travel, supplies):
1. Go to Menu > BYU Finance Dashboard (scroll all the way to the bottom of the menu list). If it’s not there, click the “+Add” button and add it.
2. Click on BYU Finance Reports > select “BYU Budget Vs Actuals Detail by Ledger Account” report
3. Input fields:
a. Organization = type your name. It should find your Activity account. If you have grants or are responsible for other accounts, they will also be listed. Choose the account you are interested in.
b. Period = select current month/year (unless you want to see the balance of a previous month)
c. Leave everything else as is and click ok.
4. Click on the arrows on the left hand side of the categories to expand the categories.
5. Explanation of columns:
a. Current Period YTD Budget = the amount in your account at the beginning of year
i. 0100: Budget Carryover/Unallocated = how much was carried over from the previous year.
ii. SC0610: Materials and Supplies (Budget Only) = department allocation
b. Current Period Actuals = what you’ve spent so far that month
c. Current Period YTD Actuals = what you’ve spent so far this year
d. Current Period YTD Purchase Commitments and Obligations = if you have a purchase requisition (a purchase that is over $3500 that Emily has submitted to Purchasing for payment) that has been submitted but not actually paid yet.
e. Available Balance = how much is currently in your account. On this report, don’t worry about the balance in each category, just the total at the bottom.
6. You can click on any of the blue numbers so see a list of transactions that make up that number.

What counts as experiential learning?
Experiential learning includes any experience that fits the categories in the attached “Experiential Learning Comparisons” table, such as:
Internships
Mentored/Field Research
International Studies Programs
Practicums
Campus/Community Engagement
Other faculty-approved experiences that align with these categories
If a student is enrolled in one of these experiences under the appropriate course number, they are eligible to apply for funding.
Updated funding levels
Beginning Winter semester, the scholarship amounts will be:
International experiences:
Up to $1,200 from the department
Plus a college match of up to $600
Local and out-of-state (domestic) experiences:
Up to $600 from the department
Plus a college match of up to $600

For Winter semester, the application will remain open until 5:00 p.m. on January 14th, the Add/Drop deadline.
As a rule of thumb, the scholarship application:
Opens the same day class registration opens for a given semester, and
Closes at 5:00 p.m. on the Add/Drop deadline for that same semester.

The BYU Public Health Belonging Fellowship is to encourage students from diverse populations and underrepresented groups at BYU to participate in mentored public health research. The fellowship provides a unique opportunity for diverse students to accomplish their public health goals and enhance their skills towards becoming influential leaders in the field of public health.
