• GIDEON – The library recently purchased a subscription to an epidemiological database called GIDEON (Global Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology Online Network). This is a highly interactive database that allows users to explore 400+ global infectious diseases, both historically and in real-time. This brief overview provides a quick look at the various features of GIDEON. You can check out this tutorial playlist to get more in-depth training.

The library is currently in the middle of a trial for Web of Science Research Assistant – an AI assistant embedded in the Web of Science database (we have a current subscription to this database). To access this AI tool, click on the “Research Assistant” link on the top of the Web of Science home page (see screenshot below). This tutorial provides additional information about Web of Science Research Assistant. This is a short trial and only runs through June 27th.  Feel free to send Mike Goats any feedback about Web of Science Research Assistant.
