20 Sep 2019 - Two new preprints
Two new preprints are now online from the team here: https://arxiv.org/abs/1909.07932 and here: https://arxiv.org/abs/1909.06683
11 Sep 2019 - New preprint
Here is a link to our latest preprint entitled: Node abnormality predicts seizure outcome and relates to long-term relapse after epilepsy surgery. https://doi.org/10.1101/747725
21 Aug 2019 - News
Two short updates. First, I am delighted to announce that I have joined PLoS Computational Biology's editorial board as Associate Editor. Second, as co-leader of the Computational Neuroscience, Neurology, and Psychiatry (CNNP) lab, I am also pleased to share our new web site here: www.cnnp-lab.com
23 May 2019 - Two new papers and a new lab member
A couple of papers have now been published online. Our paper on lithium imaging can be found here: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jad.2019.04.075, and our work on cortical folding is available here: https://www.nature.com/articles/s42003-019-0421-7. We also welcome our latest lab member Tom who is starting a PhD on neuroimaging analysis in epilepsy.
27 Jan 2019 - Updates
Our paper combining MRI data and computational modelling in idiopathic generalised epilepsy was published recently here: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.nicl.2019.101655. We also wrote a book chapter reviewing network modelling in epilepsy, preprint here: https://arxiv.org/abs/1901.01024. We have also been joined by Dr Sriharsha Ramaraju, a PDRA who will be working on epilepsy EEG signal analysis. Welcome Sri!
28 Feb 2018 - New Paper
Our latest study "The impact of epilepsy surgery on the structural connectome and its relation to outcome" has now been published in NeuroImage: Clinical. Link here if you're interested: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.nicl.2018.01.028
21 Feb 2018 - Postdoc position available
I have a postdoc position available in my group relating EEG features to epilepsy surgery outcome using signal processing, machine learning, and modelling. Further details can be found here : http://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/BHW817/research-associate-assistant-in-epichange-d110498r/ deadline for applications is March 22nd.
23 Dec 2017 - Updates
A couple of quick updates. Nadia da Silva has joined us as a PhD student working on imaging & modelling of brain injury. Welcome Nadia! A new opportunity for an MRC funded PhD is a available in Liverpool in collaboration with Dr Simon Keller. Link here to apply.
Finally, I will be recruiting at least two Wellcome Trust funded RAs next year applying machine learning techniques to EEG in the context of epilepsy surgery. Advert will be up in the New Year. Contact me if you are interested.
4 May 2017 - New Paper
Our work on seizure onset patterns is now online at PLoS CB :

18 April 2017 - New Paper
Our work investigating transient oscillations following stimulation is now published online here : http://journal.frontiersin.org/article/10.3389/fncom.2017.00025/full
19 February 2017 - PhD studentship available
Fully funded PhD studentship available at Newcastle University in the School of Computing Science, in collaboration with the Institute of Neuroscience. The project will involve computational modelling, complex network analysis and neuroimaging of brain injury.
Funding covers fees at UK/EU rate, and tax free stipend for three years from September 2017 (start date may be negotiable). For further details please contact Dr. Peter Taylor: peter.taylor@newcastle.ac.uk
