Jonathan, a San Diego native, studied theatre at USD and Mesa. He has directed and acted at North Park Vaudeville (Michael Thomas Tower's Cold Friends), Adams Avenue Studio (Pillow Talk, The Loveliest Afternoon of the Year, Naomi in the Living Room), 6th@Penn (Goodbye, David), Scripps Ranch (Little Mary Sunshine) and Patio Playhouse (Working, Sancho in Man of La Mancha).

Produced in the US, India, London, Canada and published three times in the Smith & Kraus “Best Plays – 2 Characters” series. Won Best Play in the 2006 New York City 15-Minute Play Festival; completed his literary internship at La Jolla Playhouse and was Dramaturgy Associate for their 2007-2008 season. Editor's Note:
San Diego playwright David Wiener won Best Play in the 15th Annual New York City 15-Minute Play Festival for Feeding Time at the Human House. Wiener also won the Best Play award in the 2006 festival for An Honest Arrangement, which was published by Smith & Kraus. Both of these one-acts premiered in San Diego and An Honest Arrangement was featured in the New Perspective Festival last year.
