Point Loma Actors Workshop is a performance-based acting company focused on the development of the individual actor. Beginners are encouraged to attend.
John H. Cochran, DirectorA Professor of Theatre Arts, Mr. Cochran taught acting and directing at Stanford, Yale, and Biola Universities and has played many roles on stage as a member of both the Stanford and Yale Repertory Theatres. His former students include Danny Glover, John Turturro, Francis MacDormand and Angela Basset. John’s film credits include The Extraordinary Seaman and the classic Hang ‘Em High, and his guest starring roles on television include The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and The Name of the Game. Betsy Bruce Osmun (Liz) as God
Played the part of Miss Daisy in Driving Miss Daisy, her first full length play at Point Loma Actors Playhouse. At PLAW she has been featured in memorable scenes; DMV, Jets Suck, and Much A Do About Mutton. Liz was an Equity & A.F.T.R.A. member in NYC for many years. Some of her favorite parts have included “Blanche” in Street Car Named Desire, “Jennie” in Chapter Two at the Actors Playhouse Theatre, NYC; and “Hanna Mae” in A Couple of White Chicks Sittin Around Talkin at the 18th Street Theatre, NYC.
Mary Fee as Little BitMary is a jazz vocalist whose debut album, a fifteen-song collection of Jazz standards titled Midwinter Night's Dream, was released in March on Sketchin' Records. Additionally, Mary is the he Owner/Director of Myself! EDGE Tutoring, a Tutoring Company for elementary, middle and high school students - all subjects.Rachel Bray as Rachel RavenaRachel is a 24-year old graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University and is newly married. She is currently focused on Theatre, Music, and Church, but most importantly on her family and friends.
Jack Dyville, PlaywrightJack is honored to be represented again in 2009. (MEMORY BOOK - 2008) He attended USIU Theatre School way back when the San Diego School existed!!! Studied dance there with Jack Tygett. Now resides in NYC. Represented this summer with "THE PRECIOUS GIFT" at Summer Shorts 4 in North Dakota & "GUTTER STAR: The Paperback Musical" at NY International FRINGE Festival.
