Nathan Ridd Most Improved

In 2025, the Most Improved Player Award was named in memory of former Emu Nathan Ridd. Presented for the first time at our combined 60th Anniversary Dinner and Club Presentation Night to Tapaafanua Leuelu Talisau.

Nathan, who sadly passed away in 2020, is remembered as an outstanding first-grade player who arrived at the club and, through hard work, perseverance, and commitment, rose to the highest level, playing first grade in the club's competitive Shute Shield era.

His determination and growth as a player exemplify the very qualities that this award seeks to recognise. By naming this award in Nathan’s honour, we ensure that his contribution and legacy live on, inspiring future generations of Emus to strive for improvement and embrace the spirit of rugby.
