Meet      Penny

Penny Steinke started playing horseshoes when she was 9 years old and pitched her first World Tournament in 1989. Penny was a Wisconsin State Junior Girls Champion in 1994, 1995 and 1996 and a World Champion in 1995 and 1996.  She won WI State Doubles in 2006, 2018, and 2020. Her team won the Team World Championships in 2018 and 2019. She was the WI State Pitcher of the Year in 2007, 2016, 2019 & 2020.  She is the current Wisconsin State Women’s Champion, 2018, 2019, 2020, & 2022.

Penny is a National Board-Certified Teacher teaching kindergarten at St. Matthias Catholic School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She loves reading, writing, playing horseshoes, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, vacationing, painting, crafting, going for walks and watching sporting events especially the Bucks,  Brewers, and the Packers.

Besides being an author, she also loves playing in two summer horseshoe leagues and traveling to many tournaments throughout the year. 

Penny currently lives in Waukesha, Wisconsin with her kitty, Nala.
