Skills and Goals 

Skills:

These are a few skills I’ve learned and strengthened during my time as a Longwood English major and will help me succeed in my career one day: 

• Adapting my writing to cater towards a specific rhetoric

• Flexible in my vocabulary when producing a variety of document forms 

• Great ability to research, utilize those sources to properly format any discussion, argument, or criteria

• Engaging with others when gathering information, interpretating mutliple texts from various sources and effectively connecting those points back to strengthen overall messages

Goals:

English

• • Acquire a job in publishing and/or editing manuscripts, proposal writing/technical writing/professional documents

  • Write and publish: 

    • a collection of poetry

    • a series/novel in fantasy, romance, and/or comedy

Business

• • Acquire a job in marketing, management, event planning, 

  • Own and manage a cat cafe
