Registration Fees
Early conference registration fees are $300 for established researchers, $200 for early career (5 years or less in permanent position) and postdocs, and $100 for students (graduate or undergraduate). Early registration must be completed by 15 May 2022.
After 15 May 2022, the registration fees are $350 for established researchers, $250 for early career (5 years or less in permanent position) and postdocs, and $150 for students (graduate or undergraduate).
Registration fee will be waived for Nottingham finalists.
Breakfast, Lunch, and coffee breaks will be provided with registration. In addition, the welcome reception on Monday evening, the picnic on Tuesday evening, and the banquet on Wednesday night are also included.
Registration Payment
Registration fees may be paid with credit cards via the web portal.
APS FECS Physical Electronics Conference Mini Grants
Application deadline: May 1st, 2022 11:59pm EST
To support early-career physicists, American Physical Society Forum for Early Career Scientists (FECS) will be awarding Mini Grants to cover some FECS members' early registration fees. Note: in order to receive that low rate, you must register for the meeting by the early bird deadline of May 15, 2022.
To be considered, applicants must be recent PhD recipients (past 7 years), present a poster or talk at the meeting, and be current members of the APS Forum for Early Career Scientists (free to join, link below). Women, underrepresented minorities, and candidates who can clearly demonstrate a need for funding are especially encouraged to apply. Applications are due at 11:59 pm EST, May 1st, 2022 (Early registration is required). If you have any questions, please email Shaowei Li (shaoweili@ucsd.edu).

COVID Protocols
All conference attendees must either have proof of current vaccination for Covid-19 (US CDC approved vaccine) or present a negative Covid-19 test result (PCR, not rapid test) taken within 72 hours before arrival to campus.
Masks are not required on campus (at this time) but they are encouraged when indoors.

Single rooms (with bathroom) are available at Francis Hall at 6314 N. Winthrop Ave., Chicago, IL 60660.
If double occupancy rooms are desired please contact the organizers.
Rooms may be reserved for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night at a rate of $100 per night (plus applicable taxes). This is an addition to the conference registration fee. WiFi is available for $10 device–1 for the duration of your stay. Parking is also available for $7 car–1 night–1 in the on-campus garage. The desk is staffed around the clock. Check-in time starts at 3:30 pm and check out time is 10:30 am.
At check-in, vaccination status or negative Covid test result will be verified.

Alternative lodgings can be found at the Hampton Inn near campus at 1209 W Albion Ave., Chicago, IL or other locations, including the classic Heart O' Chicago motel (2 km from Loyola)
