Participants of the conference who are interested in giving a contributed talk or presenting a poster should submit a one-page abstract. (Abstract Template) Please indicate if the presenter is a student, postdoc, or assistant professor (or equivalent) in the author list.
The conference will follow its traditional single-session format of 15-minute oral contributed presentations followed by lively 5-minute discussion periods. All submitted abstracts will be evaluated by the program committee. The accepted abstracts will be assigned to oral or poster presentations.
Please indicate your preference (oral or poster) at the bottom of your abstract. Each abstract should be submitted as a one-page Word document using the abstract template for the PEC 2022 meeting. Please be sure that the abstract file name is identified by your last name followed by underscore and your first initial, underscore, PEC2022 (e.g., Presenter_A_PEC2022). Attach and send the abstract to the following email address PEC2022Chicago@gmail.com using PEC2022 Abstract for the email subject line.
We strongly recommend that posters be prepared on a single sheet, approximately 48 inches (120 cm) wide and 36 inches (90 cm) high. Mounting materials including clips, pins, and adhesive tape will be provided.
The poster boards are 48" (120 cm) wide, so please keep your poster with within that size. Although the poster board is 36" (90 cm) high, a longer poster will work, as it can hang down.
This year the Physical Electronics Conference will again be awarding prizes for the best posters. Each poster will be judged on the quality of the technical content and the clarity of the presentation. To be eligible for an award, the research must be presented by a graduate or undergraduate student. Cash prizes will be awarded. Ongoing sponsorship of this award is generously provided by SPECS-TII.
Students interested in competing for the Nottingham prize should follow these special abstract submission instructions. The selected finalists will be asked to give a 15-minute oral presentation followed by a lively 5-minute discussion period.
The Nottingham Prize is sponsored by Scienta Omicron.
