PCLA procures the pavers from the Fund Raising Bricks Company for the following reasons:
25 years experience working with non-profit organizations.
Use of high-grade Belden clay bricks. (Belden Brick Company has been making clay bricks since 1885).
Known for their unique Laser vitrification process for engraving bricks. Etching with vitrification uses an intense laser hot beam that burns words into the clay brick, creating dark writing that resembles shiny volcanic glass that lasts forever. Vitrification is an environmentally responsible process since no chemicals, epoxy, or paint fillers are used.
There is a lifetime warranty against defects.
Why clay bricks?
Bricks made from clay are cured by baking them at high temperatures in a kiln. They are highly durable even if they chip over time, and they last much longer than pavers made from concrete.
Clay bricks require less maintenance & cleaning than concrete.
Clay bricks are UV resistant and don't fade over time. Their color is determined by mixing different clays. Stains are not used.
