Create a Lasting Tribute
Any family member, RPCV colleague or friend can donate a commemorative brick to the Peace Corps Legacy Plaza in honor of a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Peace Corps staffer, or in-country support member who has served. Such a donation will provide a distinct and dignified lasting tribute. It represents an enduring acknowledgment of a loved one’s unique service as echoed this quote,
"In a long life, there is a single moment when you know you've made more memories than any new ones you'll ever make - the ones that made you the you that you became … the you that you deemed best." -- Lynda Rutledge
It is a place to be honored collectively with Volunteers from all 50 states and hundreds of countries of service who have donated for a brick in the Plaza. Placed in the Peace Corps Legacy Plaza within a National Service Park, this memorial would serve as a powerful symbol of lasting remembrance, embodying the values of the Peace Corps and immortalizing the Volunteer's, staff, or support member's contributions.
For those PC volunteers who also served in the AmeriCorps or Military, friends or family are welcome to add those tours and dates of service to the individual's brick in recognition of their extensive national service.
