Dancer’s will be placed in the appropriate level by the instructors of PDC for all classes, conventions, and competitions. PLEASE RESPECT OUR DECISIONS!
Summer classes are required for possible team placement. Please reach out for those requirements.
Many factors go into these decisions, including but not limited to: overall concept of the dance and the dancer’s ability to relate, the dancers overall technical ability and strengths, the dancer’s ability to adapt, the dancer’s communications/stage presences, respectfulness, drive, determinations, attitude, performance level, emotional maturity, age, parent’s communication, attendance and behavior, etc… Please respect the artistic creativity of the instructors and choreographers and trust that they will do what is best for each dancer and routines.
MUCH time and energy go into the choreography of each and every dance. The concept, music choice, editing of music, staging, use of props if applicable, countless hours of preparation, etc.. are all part of the bigger picture. You are not guaranteed to be in all dances, and we expect full cooperation from BOTH parent and child.
Should a dancer fall behind, instructors may need to re-evaluate placement. Group routines always come first and any extras (solos, duets, etc…) will be put on hold until group routines are caught up.
Please note that we make every effort to keep choreography to outlined schedules, but we must adjust accordingly from time to time, due to outside circumstances.
