Test Outline

1. Graph a rational function and then state domain, range, intercepts, and asymptotes/point of discontinuity.

2. Solve a rational function by graphing (by graphing two equations and find the x-intercepts of the intersection points) and by algebra.

(Similar to p. 466 # 6,8,9)

3. Write a rational equation given intercepts, and/or asymptotes/point of discontinuity. (Similar to p.453 # 8)

4. Rewrite a rational function in the form y = a/(x-h) + k (Similar to p.443 # 5, 11a)

5. Word problem (Similar to p.433 # 13, p.444 # 16,18 or p.454 # 14
