Students use the GKH Gardening Companion app to track and share progress and seed growth pictures. Students make comparisons between seeds in the sunlight and darkness.
ISTE Standards: 1.1.d Students understand the fundamental concepts of technology operations, demonstrate the ability to choose, use and troubleshoot current technologies, and can transfer their knowledge to explore emerging technologies.
Students will use apps such as Canva and Flipgrid to create directions on how to best care for each type of plant growing in the garden after researching and making their conclusions. These will be added to the QR codes in the Art project for the week.

Students use Spotify Anchor to record a podcast explaining the stages of the plant life cycle in their own words after researching. Students will also use Lucid Chart to start a blueprint of their engineering ideas. Students and educators will look at each blueprint created by the end of the week to decide which best suits the land they will be working with.

Students use Canva to create flyers (inviting the community to see the garden). Students create their own PowerPoint Presentations to present their community garden and how this benefits others.
