TAWS
-During my Student Teaching Seminar class, I was instructed to complete a TAWS assessment. This was designed to gain an understanding of how impactful my lessons are to the students in regards to retaining information. There is a pre-test used to assess prior knowlege giving the teacher insights on where most improvements are needed. The post-test meanwhile asesses how well material was captured by each student after the lessons were taught to improve weaknesses. The lesson was taught about the geography and culture of contries in Europe. Students did exceptionally well on the post-test, leading to postive reactions about my intruction and implementation of the lesson.
They Call Me, Mr. Do It All!
Since accepting the job, I've been involved in numerous activites in the school and parish. After attending church services every Sunday and attending grade school there, I have a good grasp on the community and culture of the school. I volunteer to DJ and work at events and I'm always around to lend a helping hand. I stay later and help with extra duties in the mornings and afterschool. I help run tutoring after school on Wednesdays. I help with the websites and create brochures for the school too. I come to work everyday prepared, while whereing a dress shirt, tie, shoes, and a sweater. I strive to be as professional as possible each day!
