Throughout my educational experiences, I have encountered many teachers all with different personalities and techniques. In becoming a teacher one day, I would love to replicate a lot of the education knowledge most of my teachers bestowed on me. I had a lot of great teachers who understood the children they were teaching. They understood the learning pace, how to make the class fun, and how to not overload the class with endless homework, test, or quizzes. I have also had teachers that were not the best at their profession. These teachers did not understand the kids feelings, pressured them, and did not care about the children or the job overall. I would love the mix the best parts and cut out the worst parts to become a productive and well liked teacher.
Finally, one of the biggest reasons for wanting to become a teacher is because of the huge difference it could make in the lives of many. Everyone remembers their memorable teachers either for better or worse. The things that the favorite teachers teach are remembered and used throughout life in future careers. Students usually learn to avoid the faults of the subpar teachers in life. My teachers have led me to love learning and teaching. I learned never to pressure students and know that each student has a certain skill set and each has a different learning levels. I would love to be a teacher to share a major part in shaping the future generation.
Overall, my purpose for teaching has to do with unique personal experiences which truly have drawn me to the teaching profession. I have learned a lot from my mother, teachers, and personal classroom observations that allow me to see why I want to be a teacher. I love the children and want them to be successful in the future and I don’t want to see them fail, ever!
