I developed an underwater remotely operated vehicle from scratch, at home with my brother. We began this ongoing project in 2014, as my first robotics project. The project started simple, but over time grew more complex. The first version consisted of a battery connected to a switchboard directly controlling bilge pumps, with a car backup camera streaming analog video through our tether. It was built out of PVC. We later rebuilt the entire robot from scratch twice, adding more capabilities. The current version has an onboard battery, Raspberry Pi computer, and custom-printed circuit boards. The structure was 3D printed, including custom-designed propellers. The robot's control system has a custom-built dashboard.
