Patrick McGuire

I am interested in robotics and aerospace engineering. I have experience in mechanical design, electrical design, and programming. I am passionate about hands-on work and solving complex problems. I enjoy projects where mechanical design is integrated with electronics and software.

I developed underwater robots, including mechanical and circuit board design. I wrote the entire control software for an autonomous robot. I conducted field trials locally and in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

I worked on Fleet's docking and charging station, as well as an accelerated wear testing setup. This included FEA, mechanical design and electrical system design.

I am the club's treasurer, as well as the team lead for rocketry electronics and software. I competed in NASA's University Student Launch Initiative.

On FIRST Robotics Team 125 I served as team captain, mechanical team lead, and scouting team lead. I led the overall design of the team's robots from 2020-2022.  I designed 9 subsystems over my 8 years on the team.
