The Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) is a leadership program for high school students in 9th-12th grade. Navy JROTC develops the self-discipline, self-confidence, and leadership skills to help you successfully meet life’s challenges. People who are successful in life, who succeed in business, industry, and education, have developed strong self-discipline, the ability to lead and motivate others, and a well-rounded character. The Navy JROTC curriculum and instructional activities are designed to develop your leadership ability regardless of your career path.
(High School NJROTC does not have a military obligation)
The purpose of the Navy JROTC program is to instill in High School students the values of citizenship, community, state, and Country. As well as personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment. Specific objectives include:
To promote patriotism.
To develop informed and responsible citizens.
To promote habits of orderliness and precision and to develop respect for constituted authority.
To develop a high degree of personal honor, self-reliance, individual discipline, and leadership.
To promote an understanding of basic elements and requirements for national security.
To develop leadership potential.
To provide incentives to live healthy and drug-free lives.

Selection/application to Military Academies, leading to a Commission for a Military career as well, advice on enlisted military careers
