SY 25-26 Navy League Academic Team - Chaparral High School
Navy League Academics is a team centered around the study of naval sciences, ranging from marine biology to leadership, where participating individuals learn and are able to demonstrate their mastery of naval knowledge through a multiple choice test format.

SY 22-23 Brigade Academic Team - Brain Brawl Area 11

Brigade Academics is an academic decathlon/Jeopardy type game in which teams of four are asked a question by a moderator, then any person from any team can buzz in and answer the question for points, the team with the highest points wins. Teams are typically made of 1 freshman, sophomore, junior and senior, but higher grades can be subbed out for someone that is a lower grade than them. Brigade academics is a really fun team that practices with a wide array of questions from different topics like Mythology, Science, Math, Literature, and History! SY 23-24 Archery Team - Kearny High School
Archery is pretty simple Practices are twice a week in the morning One of the instructors run them. Competitions are pretty simple first you start off at the 10 meter line with 1 practice flight of 5 arrows and the 3 flights of 5 arrows for score then you switch to the 15 meter line with 1 practice flight followed by 3 scored flights with each flight being 5 arrows.

SY 25-26 Armed Basic Drill Team - Chaparral High School
The armed basic drill team is a group of 12 cadets (not including the guide or TC) knowledgeable of stationary and marching drill with a rifle. The team trains to deliver an accurate, sharp, and uniform performance. Each cadet practices to hone their discipline and precision, while working with other team members to cohesively execute drill movements.

SY 25-26 Armed Exhibition Team - Chaparral High School
Unarmed Exhibition takes basic drill movements and elevates it into a rhythm. With stomping and slapping, cadets are able to move around insync with one another. The team allows for more freedom with the ability to project chants and move more about freely with unique formations. The many movements can vary from simple and sharp to elaborate turns and formations.

SY 25-26 Athletic Team ~ Chaparral High School
The athletics team consists of a tight-knit group of cadets that push themselves and each other to excel in physical fitness. Navy League Athletics competes in cadence-regulated push-ups and curl-ups, and a 100 yard sprint relay. In the Brigade, they compete in fun events like the basketball throw and a 440 yard relay at the annual Cadet Challenge. For push-up/curl-up cadence used at Navy League field meets, click here.

SY 23-24 Varsity CG Team - Chaparral High School
Color guard is a four-person team skilled in flag and rifle drill. The competitive team trains to execute a drill card accurately and cohesively, while ceremonial teams present the national colors at graduations, football games, and various other functions.

Cyber Patriots is a cyber security team where cadets learn how to utilize Linux, Windows, and networking computing systems and compete against other teams. Cadets interested in computer science, cyber security, or want to learn more about how computers work should consider joining.

SY 23-24 Logistics Team - Paloma Valley High School
The Navy League Logistics team is a supporting, noncompeting team that helps competing teams before, during, and after competitions. This team spends time making sure behind the scenes matters are prepared properly and cadets are ready to compete at their fullest. Their efforts assist in competing teams' performance and success, and the team can also get a taste of Navy League activities without having to commit large amounts of time into the program.

SY 23-24 Orienteering Team
Orienteering is a physical and mental sport, challenging any person to use their map skills and personal strength to navigate through the points on a course. It is a nationwide sport built upon testing people’s abilities in map reading and speed. Competitors must navigate through multiple points on a map as fast as possible to the Finish line to get first place. The lower the time, the higher you place. As a team, we work together to build our skills either by in classroom teaching or outside training. Skills include map and key reading, compass reading, running skills, park rules, and safety. The team may be working separately at competitions, but they learn and train together to get first place.

SY 25-26 Unarmed Basics Team - Chaparral High School
Unarmed basic is a team where cadets learn the utmost foundation of drill. The building blocks of all the other teams are taught here. Cadets learn the basics of marching, stationary movements, and drill that will lead to their success while pursuing other teams.
